Master Electrician
Master Electrician is the highest level of electrical certification. They have first-hand knowledge, skills, and the ability to work on the most complex of projects- residential and commercial.
Befor starting the master electrician process you must hold your journeyman license for at least two years. It is also required to complete 12,000 hours of work under a master electrician. Once all of these criteria are met, you may then apply for your master electrician license. Texas/TDLR also requires you to take two comprehensive tests before being approved for a license. The test ensures that the applicant has in-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code. Once you have received your license, you will have to renew it every 18 months. The state requires four hours of continuing education prior to renewing a licesnse. This is required for the life of your master electrician career.
